Christmas in October?

The Halloween-themed “Spookamotive” train is a popular attraction for families visiting Old Town Sacramento, in late October.

The California State Railroad Museum decks out the train for Halloween on October 17 & 18th, 24th & 25th, the 31st and November 1st, 2009.  Join the “skeleton crew” for a fun and whimsical 40-minute, 6-mile roundtrip ride along the Sacramento River!

Be sure to stop in and say hello to Joe and pick up your favorite variety of smoked fish for a nice healthy snack after your train ride. Don’t forget to take some home for later — it goes fast.
