What’s for Christmas Dinner?
Having trouble pulling together your Christmas dinner menu? It’s not easy to pull off a truly memorable meal that doesn’t resemble every other holiday meal.
Growing up, we had turkey for Thanksgiving, which left ham for Christmas. My husbands granddad is a terrific cook and he prepares the most incredible beef tenderloin each Christmas Eve. Even as a cook with many years standing at the stove, it always amazes me at how some of the tastiest meals are the simplest to prepare.
Granddad spreads Dijon mustard all over the tenderloin, sprinkles with a generous amount of brown sugar, covers it tightly with aluminum foil and bakes it in the oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes. It’s absolutely fabulous.
I like to make Laszlo’s Smoked Salmon Ball Recipe, made with Joe’s perfectly smoked peppered salmon to serve as an appetizer along with smoked cheese, fancy crackers and a vegetable tray. Not only does it help create an elegant table setting, it’s absolutely mouth-wateringly delicious.
If you are short on time and want something extra special to serve this Christmas, call and order a tray of smoked salmon. Let Laszlo’s Smoked Fish take the pressure off. Joe will provide a fresh, elegantly displayed tray of smoked salmon on a bed of green lettuce.
