Smoked Prawns?
If you are like most people, you’ve never even heard of smoked prawns. I must be honest, the first time I saw them, I had my doubts.
Joe marinates them in his super secret brine, then adds his own special combination of seasonings and smokes them to perfection in his professional smokehouse. The results are something to write home to mom about, I can tell you that.
We ordered a batch and had them shipped out on Thursday, they arrived on Friday nicely packaged with ice packs and vacuum sealed packages of succulent smoked prawns, plain smoked salmon and who can pass up the pepper smoked salmon?
Smoked salmon has long been a favorite of mine. I normally pass over the smoked prawns to be honest. I ordered a half pound and asked Joe to package them in smaller portions, so that they will keep longer. I have one package of the smoked prawns left and I’m not sure how much longer I can resist them. They are calling to me….
Just in case you were wondering how the vacuum packaging works…
Joe can provide beautiful gift quality vacuum packaged variety packs – these are especially popular for the Christmas holiday season and of course Valentine’s Day. I mean let’s be honest, what’s Valentine’s Day without smoked salmon?
I prefer smaller packaged portions, usually two or three pieces each. Vacuum packaged fish will last about four months if kept refrigerated. Never freeze smoked fish, vacuum packaged or not. Once the package is open, the fish, if maintained at proper temperatures, will last two – three weeks.

I would like to say…Joe makes the best smoked salmon ever, I used to own the bakery next door, so I used to get little “samples” of it very often. The place is very clean, which is a very important thing for me, I am sure it’s the same for others too. Top quality, top service, best price, I will pay a visit soon…

Oh, how I miss your bakery. I had never tried tiramisu, until I tried your delicious tiramisu. I consider your tiramisu the standard with which to measure all others. I really miss your bakery. If you ever open another bakery in the area, please let me know. I am so very happy we met you too. Miss you lots!

OMG! I am in love with this smoked fish! It has got to be the best I have ever tasted. It is even better than the one I purchase at the local Whole Foods! I will definitely be ordering some again soon!
I would like to say..i purchased some smoked salmon 5 yrs. ago… i love to eat smoked salmon so much…. this is the best there is…. HONEST…Lazlo’s also a very likeable guy…. true to his craft…..maybe its because he is hungarian… he add’s a tinge of hungary to his flavor……it’s quite a unique taste…. i haven’t forgotten the taste since then…. the best smoke salmon ever
