Smoked Fish and Bagel Recipe
If you haven't tried Laszlo's Gourmet Smoked Fish on a Noah's Bagel, you are really missing out. These tasty sandwiches are so addicting, you'll want to keep plenty of smoked fish on hand.
Of course you can use any type of bagel you wish but the best I've ever tasted was from Noah's Bagels, they are the perfect compliment to Laszlo's Gourmet Smoked Fish. Noah's Bagels freeze well, so there is no reason not to pick up a dozen and have a sandwich anytime you like.
Ingredients:
- 1 Bagel - Toasted or Microwaved
- 1 - 2 oz. Cream Cheese - Apply to both sides of the bagel
- 1 t. Capers - place on top of cream cheese
- 2 - 3 oz. of Smoked Fish Sliced thin - Use any kind you wish.*
- 1 thin slice of red onion
Enjoy! This tempting treat is terrific for a light lunch or picnic. Just add a dill pickle and chips on the side for a delicious lunch that travels well.
*While it is true, you can use any type of smoked fish on your bagel sandwich, we do not recommend using smoked trout or smoked prawns due to the nature of the these types of fish.
Fresh fish is smoked most days at Laszlo's Gourmet Smoked Fish. Laszlo's prepares only the freshest smoked fish and cheeses for his valued customers. Never freeze smoked fish. It will stay fresh in your refridgerator for up to three weeks. Should you need to keep the fish longer Joe will be happy to vacuum pack your selection on the premises in his commercial vacuum sealer. Your vacuum packed smoked fish will remain fresh and succulent for up to four months in your refridgerator.
